Haute Milk: Hell Yeah Breastfeeding!
I triple dog dare you.

formula is horrible simply just not as good as breastmilk.

breastfeeding at the beginning is horrible can be really difficult, especially without a good support network. LC’s are helpful here.

starting solids before 6 months is horrible not recommended because the intestines are not “sealed up” yet and tiny food particles can get into the blood stream and cause allergies.

rice cereal is horrible basically just sugar. There are better foods to start baby on.

putting baby to sleep on stomach beyond horrible is not advised. However, that doesn’t stop my baby from rolling onto his stomach, and what am I supposed to do, stay up all night and roll him back? I think not.

it’s like where can you go for advice when you need it? you can’t turn to people because they judge you and i…

Just read what you can, and get advice from people you trust, then take it or leave it. Use your mommy instincts.

For example: If your baby is 4 months old, can sit up unassisted, and can swallow the baby cereal or other baby food then baby is probably ready for solids. It doens’t just happen at the magical age of 6 months. All babies are different.

BBC is being a shithead, so I am going to ask you guys instead. Ezra has always somewhat arched his back when eating and sometimes sleeping. I mentioned this early on and he was put on some meds for reflux. I stopped them because they didn’t seem to make a difference but recently started them…

Is he tired when this happens? BB will do this to me when he is tired, it can be exasperating. When he gets like that (6mo) we just go nurse in bed. I’ll pull the sheet over us and he plays with it then he will roll over to nurse, roll away, and eventually he will keep nursing and fall asleep. I’ve learned that babies can be tricky and you have to try new things. There was one day where I could not get him to latch on and nurse unless I held him upside down over my shoulder.

breastfeeding is so frustrating! and being stressed about it only makes it worse. usually after i breastfeed, she acts like she is still hungry, so i end up having to give her a bottle. i’ve been pumping more often, like 4-5 times a day between feedings to try and stimulate milk production, and i…

Pumps really aren’t a good gauge of how much milk is in there, they can’t begin to compare to a baby. If baby seems hungry still, just switch breasts again. There were days where I swear all I did was sit on the couch and nurse. It’s completely normal. Society may have changed on the whole, but babies didn’t get that memo. Look into La Leche League meetings, or Breastfeeding support groups in your area. They are super helpful.

At the end of the day, you’re a rock star to your baby.

I had the weirdest dream last night. I was with the father of my child living in a trailer and I was cheating on him. It was like a mini soap full of drama. It was disgusting. What the H-E-double hockey sticks is wrong with my subconscious.

Went to take care of some legal paperwork. I went to…

Remember, it took 9 months to make the baby, it takes time to get your body back to normal. Try not to worry about it, you’ve got enough to do with the baby!

THE INTERNET ISNT HELPING ME.

TELL ME IF THIS MAKES SENSE:

TWO MONTHS PP. GOING TO SCHOOL & WORKING, PUMPING WHEN I NEED TO BE AWAY AND BREASTFEEDING AT HOME. SOMETIMES BABY SLEEPS FOR 4+ HOURS. I STARTED TAKING FENUGREEK TODAY. I’M GETTING A COPPER IUD NEXT WEEK. ON SATURDAY I WENT 18HRS…

Lactational Amenorrhea- If you go for more than 4 hours without nursing/pumping during the day or 6 hours at night you can get your period back.

Love the photo of Florence Thompson. They always show the other famous photo… but I am more moved by this one.

Agreed! It is such a beautiful photo, and one I’ve never seen before. The emotion in here face just gives me the chills. For others out there, here it is:

Thank you, I’ve never seen this photo. Always the other one.

Buttered Popcorn

Is what breastmilk baby poop smells like.

Yum.

Wait.  What?

Lol, Baby Bear always smelled like vanilla and his poop smelled like sugar cookies. To me any way. So when I smelled cookies I knew we had a poop situation.
